Greg Devine - Musical Director - Multi-keys - Benny Sub
As a classically trained pianist and a touring performer for several years, Greg considers himself very fortunate to be a part of the ABBA Gold team. Greg has been a musical director and band leader for many different acts in musical theater, stage bands, rock bands and studio works. He has extensive live performance experience and continues to entertain audiences of all ages.
Iain J. Marais - Guitarist / Singer / Songwriter
An experienced player who began at an early age, Iain was performing and teaching guitar professionally by age 17. He is a student of 2 Musicians Institute graduates and a multi-instrumentalist who continues to teach guitar, harmony, theory, and ear training privately in the London area as well as fronting for London based Irish act The Whiskey Sinners.
Ian MacKay - Drums
As a musician, Ian has been a busy drummer for the better part of 10 years, whether it be performing, recording, or teaching. He received a BA in Popular Music Studies from the University of Western Ontario in 2009. Ian has worked with such acts as Roy Leblanc (2003 Elvis Tribute Artist World Champion), Denise Pelley, Doug Varty, Chris Chown, and now with ABBA Gold !
Jordan Vogel - Multi-Production Keyboards
An Honours graduate of the Jazz/Commercial Music Program at Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology, Jordan has over 15 years experience in the music business. He worked 4 seasons doing Music pre production on the television series Earth: Final Conflict. He also taught at the International Academy Of Design and privately, writes and records in his home studio using Pro Tools and Logic software. He tours as a multi-keyboardist some of Canada's premier tribute bands, Benny and the Jets and Legends Alive and is regularly involved with several recording projects. His experience includes audio and music editing, sound design, orchestration with advanced MIDI applications, sampling, sequencing, and synthesizer programming. In addition, Jordan has accumulated hundreds of hours in recording studios and thousands in live performances.
Jungle Tshongo - Bass
Jungle has toured Europe, Canada, USA and Mexico with acts ranging from Yve Adam to Carole Pope. He also has numerous credits as a studio musician, arranger and programmer and his songs have been featured in Canadian film and TV (CBC's Dragon Boys).
Kelly Goodlad - Back-up Vocals
Kelly Goodlad is a singer-songwriter and pianist who hails from Toronto, ON. Her debut EP, "Blues and Reds" was released in 2004 and received promising reviews as well as international Podcast play, radio play throughout Ontario, and several television placements. Kelly has also leant vocals to CDs by local artists Silent Seymour, Talladega, The Dirj Project, Moth, Mike Lerner, Howard James, and Rich Hamelin. Kelly is also a vocal/piano teacher at the acclaimed Merriam School of Music located in Mississauga, Ontario. Currently, Kelly is hard at work on her second CD, and performs regularly throughout North America.
Lisa Skurdelis - Back-up Vocals
Lisa is a lyric soprano whose repertoire and influences include musical theatre style songs as well as light classical, religious, easy listening and folk. Lisa donates her time and talents singing with the Goodmans Vocal Group, the Laurentian University Choir and The Musical Moments for numerous fundraisers such as The Univ. of Toronto's Hart House and the Princess Margaret Hospital to name a few. Lisa was a finalist in the CJMX-FM Talent Search.
Neil Shapiro - Percussion / Drummer
Neil's experiences as a drummer have spanned over 40 years. Starting with 60's rock 'garage bands', Neil went on to playing varied musical styles with a number of dance orchestras in the 70's, followed by a ten year stint in Toronto's highly acclaimed "Remember When" 50's-60's rock revival band. After almost twelve years of work for "Legends Alive" and similar tribute shows, Neil adapted his drumming skills to play the congas, bongos and other various percussive instruments especially designed for AbbaGold Live.
Tristen Bakker - Back-up Vocals
To coin an old phrase – Tristen’s been singing since before she could speak. She honed her vocal skills first at the Royal Conservatory of Music and then with Jacqueline Juriansz in Toronto, where she continues to study. She developed her stage skills performing in choir and theatre productions through out her school career. She is now the front person in her own rock band “The Mummers” in which she also writes and plays rhythm guitar. Tristen also works as a picture editor and voice over artist in film and television.
